A center bearing support adds a support point along the torsion shaft, so a long or heavily loaded shaft doesn't sag between the end plates. This one has a 7-1/2 in shaft offset, is made from 8 gauge steel, and is listed for doors with 1350-28 cable drums. Sold individually.
Before ordering
- Match the offset to your end bearing plates, such as the 545 end bearing plates.
- For a 1-1/4 in shaft see 534, 1-1/4 in bore.
Drums, bearings and shafts hold the full force of the springs. Unwind the springs fully before working on them. This is a job for a trained door technician.
