This is a #8 S-hook, 1-13/16 in long and 5/8 in wide. On garage doors S-hooks are used with sash chain, for example to hang an extension spring safety chain or a pull-down chain, and for other light connections.
Before ordering
- Light duty only: never use an S-hook to carry spring tension or door weight.
- Close the open end with pliers after hooking it on.
