The Wayne Dalton 115311 is a genuine replacement set of torsion lift cables, sold as a pair (left and right), for Wayne Dalton garage doors that are 7 ft high. The cable runs from the bottom bracket on each side of the door up to the drum on the torsion shaft; the springs turn the drums and the cables lift the door.
Specs
- 3/32 in. diameter, 7x7 strand steel cable
- 104 in. long
- For Wayne Dalton torsion spring doors 7 ft high, listed for 1 in. thick doors
Compare with your old cable: same diameter, same length and the same end fitting at the bottom bracket. For an 8 ft high Wayne Dalton door, the matching cables are Wayne Dalton 11512; contact us to order. If your door is taller, or it uses Wayne Dalton's TorqueMaster spring inside the tube, it needs a different cable.
Before you replace a cable
- Cables are under high tension from the springs. If you're not trained, have a garage door technician do it.
- Replace both sides at the same time, so the door lifts evenly. This pair covers both.
- Work only with the door closed, the springs unwound and the opener unplugged.
- A frayed cable often means a worn drum or bottom bracket; check those too.
Standard (non-Wayne Dalton) doors: torsion cables, pair, all door heights. Keep cables on the drums: cable keepers. More: torsion cables.
Not sure which spring system your door has? Springs hidden inside the tube above the door means TorqueMaster; see Wayne Dalton parts.

Breaking strength is the load that breaks one new cable (Wire Rope Users Manual). It is not a working load rating: the springs carry the door's weight, and cables should be replaced when frayed, kinked or rusted.
