The LiftMaster 41A6569 is the replacement bracket kit for the older 41A4373A safety reversing sensors (photo eyes) used on LiftMaster, Chamberlain and Craftsman openers. Use it when the original brackets are bent, rusted, loose or missing and the sensors won't stay lined up. It's brackets and hardware only: no sensors.
What's in the kit
- 2 C-wrap brackets
- 2 square-hole mounting brackets
- 2 slotted mounting brackets
- Hardware bag
Which sensors do I have?
This kit fits the 41A4373A-style sensors. The current 041-0136 sensors use a different mount: the old brackets don't fit them, so they need the 041-0155-000 bracket kit. If you're replacing the sensors themselves, get the 041-0136 kit and the 041-0155-000 brackets together. Need the sensors further from the track? Add the 41A5281-1 extension brackets.
Installing
- Unplug the opener.
- Mount a bracket on each side of the door opening (track, wall or floor), with the beam no higher than 6 in above the floor.
- Fit the sensors so the lenses face each other across the door.
- Plug in and adjust until both sensor lights are on steady, then test: the door must reverse when you break the beam while it's closing.
Never bypass the safety sensors. More: safety sensors and brackets.
