The LiftMaster LPEXP is a loop detector input board. On its own it does nothing: it's the board that a LOOPDETLM plug-in loop detector plugs into, and LiftMaster says both are needed for the loop to work. It fits two places:
- CAPXL access controller: mounts inside the CAPXL. With a vehicle loop in the drive, the CAPXL can automatically call a guard or office when a guest pulls up.
- Commercial door operators: LiftMaster's price list says it attaches to the inside cover of new operators and connects directly to the board; the MAXUM manual lists it as an accessory.
Before ordering
- You also need the LOOPDETLM detector and a vehicle loop cut into the pavement.
- The LPEXP and AUXREL cards are independent; LiftMaster lets you mount either or both on the operator cover.
- Wiring should be done by a qualified technician, with power to the operator turned off and locked out.
