Allstar and MVP Garage Door Opener Parts and Remotes - Belt Opener

Allstar made garage door openers, gate operator radios and the MVP opener line. The company started as Allister, became Allstar after a change in ownership, and was later bought by Linear. Allstar openers are no longer made, but we keep them running: genuine Allstar parts like limit switches, capacitors and the MVP control board, plus remotes, keypads and receivers that work with Allstar's 318 MHz radio systems.
Before you order a remote: open your old remote (or the receiver on the opener) and look inside. The switches, or the lack of them, tell you which system you have. The chart below shows what to buy. Need help? Call 877 379 4947.

Allstar MVP garage door openers: parts and remotes
The MVP was Allstar's last residential opener line (MVP, MVP-SB, MVP Superbelt, and the Challenger 9300M, 9500M, GLE and SE built on it). MVP openers have a learning 318 MHz receiver (Quik-Code): no dip switches, and remotes are added with the Program button on the deluxe wall station or the receiver. All MVP openers are discontinued, and so are the original MVP remotes and keypad.
- Remote: Digi-Code DC-MAG, slide switch on B. One button, so one per door. How to program it.

Replacing a failed Allstar receiver
If the remotes are fine but the opener no longer responds, the built-in receiver may be the problem. An external receiver wired to the opener's push button terminals brings radio control back: the Allstar 111963 for MVP remotes, or the Hive 318 GDO and Keystone Heddolf P294-1KB for 9-switch trinary remotes. See all Allstar receivers.

Allstar garage door opener FAQ
Is there a keypad for an Allstar MVP opener?
Not one that talks to the MVP radio. The Allstar 110927 MVP keypad is discontinued. Add keyless entry with an external receiver wired to the opener wall button terminals and its matching keypad, such as the Linear MDR/U receiver with the NMTK keypad. Your MVP remotes keep working.
Which remote works with my Allstar garage door opener?
It depends on the radio inside, not the opener model. Open your old remote or the receiver: no switches and a Program button means MVP (use the Digi-Code DC-MAG). Nine 3-position switches means Classic trinary (Stinger 318ALD31V or Heddolf P220). Nine 2-position switches means Classic binary (Stinger 318ALD21V). Then copy the switch pattern into the new remote.
How do I program a remote to an Allstar MVP opener?
MVP openers have no dip switches. Press and release the Program button on the opener or the MVP receiver, then press the remote button within a few seconds. For the Digi-Code DC-MAG, first set its slide switch to B (MVP). Test the door.
How do I program an Allstar 9-switch remote?
There's no learn button. Open the remote and set each of the 9 switches to exactly the same position as the receiver or your old remote (+, 0 or - on trinary, on or off on binary). Close the case and test. See binary or trinary?
Are Allstar and Allister the same?
Yes. Allister was the original company name; it became Allstar after the company changed ownership, and Allstar was later bought by Linear. Allstar replacement parts and remotes fit Allister openers with the same radio system.
Are Allstar garage door openers still made?
No. Allstar openers are no longer produced, and many original parts and remotes are discontinued. We still stock genuine Allstar limit switches, capacitors, sockets, the MVP 111068 board and wall buttons, plus compatible remotes and receivers from Digi-Code, Transmitter Solutions and Keystone Heddolf.
My Allstar remotes are discontinued and I want new ones. What can I do?
Use a compatible remote that matches your receiver (see the chart above). If the opener's receiver itself has failed, add an external receiver, such as the Allstar 111963 for MVP remotes or the Hive 318 GDO and Heddolf P294-1KB for 9-switch trinary remotes, wired to the opener's push button terminals.
What replaced the Allstar 110838 wall station?
The Allstar 103473 wall button. It connects to the same two wires and opens, closes and stops the door, but it doesn't have the 110838's light, program and vacation buttons. Program remotes at the opener or receiver instead.
