Linear (Linear Pro Access, now part of Nice) makes residential garage door openers, gate and access control radios and the MegaCode, Delta-3 and Multi-Code remote systems. We stock genuine Linear replacement parts for the LDO, LSO, LCO and LDCO openers, plus Linear remotes, keypads, receivers and access control parts.

Every Linear opener uses MegaCode 318 MHz. For a Linear opener, choose a MegaCode remote or keypad. Delta-3 (310 MHz, DIP switches) and Multi-Code (300 MHz, 10 DIP switches) are separate systems that need their own receiver. Questions? Call 877 379 4947.

Linear garage door opener replacement: repair or replace?

Linear Pro Access is now part of Nice. The AC openers (LDO33, LDO50, LSO50, LCO75) and the LDCO800 are discontinued, and current models are sold as Nice Linear 621, 661 and 861. We don't sell Linear or Nice opener heads, but we stock the parts that fix most of them.

Before buying parts, pull the red release and lift the door by hand. It should move smoothly and stay about halfway up; if it's heavy or drops, the springs need service and no opener part will fix it. The flash code on the opener light tells you where to look: see the Linear programming and troubleshooting guide.

If you replace the opener, choose from our complete garage door openers. A new brand won't learn your Linear MegaCode remotes or keypad. To keep them, add a Linear MDR/U MegaCode receiver to the new opener; it stores 10 remotes or keypad codes and connects to the wall button terminals.

Block coded remotes (MT-1B, MT-2B, ACT-31B, ACT-34B, MDT-1B and more) carry a factory ID in a numbered sequence, so a property manager can enroll a whole batch in a Linear access controller at once. Compatible MegaCode remotes: Digi-Code DC-MC3, Monarch 318LIPW1K and Stingray 318LIPW1V. Hardwired keypad: AK-11 digital keypad. Gate safety edges: MGT (MegaCode) and DTG (Delta-3). Linear garage door opener FAQ

Which remote works with my Linear garage door opener?

Every Linear residential opener (LDO, LSO, LCO, LDCO and the Nice Linear 621, 661 and 861) has a built-in MegaCode 318 MHz receiver. Use the MTS1 (1 button) or MTS3 (3 buttons), which replace the MTR1, MTR3, MCT-11 and MCT-3. Delta-3 (310 MHz) and Multi-Code (300 MHz) remotes will not work with the opener unless you add a matching external receiver.

How do I program a remote to a Linear opener?

Per Linear's manuals: press and release the LEARN button on the opener. The red light stays on for about 15 seconds. While it is on, press the remote button you want to use; the lights flash once when it is added. Four flashes mean that remote was already stored and has been removed, so repeat the steps. Holding LEARN for 10 seconds erases every remote and keypad. Full steps for each model are in our Linear programming guide.

How do I program the NMTK keypad?

The NMTK learns like a remote: press and release LEARN on the opener, then while the red light is on, enter a 1 to 6 digit code on the keypad and hold the keypad's door key until the opener beeps or the lights flash. Each code you set counts as a separate remote.

What do the light flashes mean on my Linear opener?

Per Linear's manuals: 1 flash = remote added; 2 = shorted wall station wires (look for a staple through the wire); 3 = safety beams blocked or out of line; 4 = open or close force exceeded (check the door for binding); 5 = remote used while vacation lock is on; 6 = motor ran too long (AC models) or limit error (DC models); 7 = encoder error on LDCO models. On LDCO models with a battery, 2 beeps means the battery is low.

My Linear opener hums but won't move the door. What part do I need?

On the AC models (LDO33, LDO50, LSO50, LCO75), a humming motor that doesn't turn usually means a weak capacitor; a motor that runs but doesn't move the door usually means stripped gears (HAE00047 gear set). Disconnect the door first and make sure it moves freely by hand; a door that's hard to lift needs spring work, not opener parts.

Which battery does my Linear opener take?

The LDCO841, LDCO850, LDCO852 and LDCO863B take the BATT54 12 V battery. The LDCO800 and LDCO801 take the BBU battery backup kit, which needs the BBU-compatible control board. The AC models (LDO, LSO, LCO) have no battery backup.

Who makes Linear garage door openers now?

Linear (Linear Pro Access) was part of Nortek Security & Control and is now owned by Nice. Current openers are sold as Nice Linear (621, 661 and 861) and still use MegaCode remotes, so most Linear accessories carry over. Nice part numbers such as the HAE00080 Wi-Fi wall station replace older Linear ones.

Do you sell complete Linear openers?

No. Linear's LDO, LSO and LCO openers are discontinued and we don't sell Linear or Nice opener heads. We stock genuine Linear replacement parts, remotes, keypads and receivers. If your Linear opener can't be repaired, see our complete garage door openers. Other brands don't use MegaCode, so plan on new remotes, or add a MegaCode receiver such as the MDR/U to keep your Linear remotes and keypad.

Can I keep my Linear remotes with a new opener?

Yes, if you add a MegaCode receiver. The Linear MDR/U plugs into an outlet, stores up to 10 MegaCode remotes or keypad codes and connects to the new opener's wall button terminals with two wires. Openers with smart multi-function wall controls may not accept a simple contact closure on those terminals, so check the new opener's manual for a dry contact input first.
